• To prevent storm damage breaking the limbs during hard wind storms,  instead of breaking – the wind is able to pass through.
• When grass is not growing under the tree due to lack of sunlight/radiation.
• To improve the growth of plants suffering by lack of sun, blocking the view.
• For proper balance of the tree.
